Placing the need for student counsel and guidance at a critical level.
Signposted organisations such as CAMHS, YES as well as primary care are having to operate on a triage and often 'emergency only' system, due to significant demand and therefore prioritising those at greater risk. The fact that systems in place to help children are currently overwhelmed and failing due to long wait periods, is resulting in the consequence of those children who are yet to escalate (but will suffer if their problems are not addressed), being neglected

Hawkins and Poll present our model as a proactive solution, rather than firefighting a fast escalating epidemic. Its time that alternative solutions are urgently implemented and we are confident that our programme will alleviate the pressure currently experienced by schools and provide access to critical, complementary pastoral care, to ensure the immediate physical and emotional needs of all pupils are supported.
Through years of training, we have developed a programme targeting adolescent behaviours. Using a holistic approach to psychological techniques, drawing from Person Centered, CBT, Gestalt therapy and Psychodynamic approaches, children’s thought processes are challenged impacting their emotions, which leads to a change in behaviour.
Through a review of empirical evidence, we believe combining talk therapy with personal training leads to greater physiological and psychological benefits. Tapping into these physiological effects from exercise, significantly improves the progress children make during therapy sessions. Mood is elevated with the release of a variety of hormones working together to make you feel good. As well as a decrease in stress hormones like Cortisol, maximising the effectiveness of each session.

The programme will start with an initial introduction session, following this we will make a recommendation on call length and number of sessions that would be of benefit to help you reach your goals. Sessions consist of Behaviour Change Therapy, Nutrition Support and a variety of Exercise Activities to suit all levels. The programme is modular so we will make recommendation on the mix of these sessions following your introduction session.

Pilates is a great form of exercise to encourage good breathing practices and develop a strong core. It is a dynamic form of exercise, which will improve flexibility, posture and gain lean muscle. The classes also offer relaxation techniques to compliment the session.
